Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa, Inc. (CAPS)

The mission of Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa is to provide education and awareness programs for the prevention of child abuse and neglect. We offer prevention and treatment education in an effort to break the cycle of child maltreatment. We believe every child deserves to have a healthy childhood. For over 40 years, C.A.P.S. has served the West Alabama community. Our programs reach every student in the Tuscaloosa City and County School Systems. We also serve several surrounding counties' schools. We provide community-based instruction for adults and offer speakers to any business, organization, or civic group interested in the prevention of child abuse and neglect. No other organization in our state does what we do!
